Prescriptions & Repeats
We’re an experienced and dedicated team that enables you to conveniently manage your medical prescriptions both off and online. Ordering is simple, secure and discreet and we supply an efficient and responsive service ensuring you, the patient, is at the heart of everything we do.
Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions are issued at the doctors’ discretion and are normally for patients on long term treatment. We do have an in-house Pharmacist as well as a Pharmacy Technician who are available to also deal with medicine management queries.
All repeat prescriptions are computerised and the safest way to order one is to tick the required items on the request slip attached to the prescription. Please hand the slip into reception. Please allow two working days for us to process your request ensuring you order your prescriptions in plenty of time so that you do not run out of medication. All patients need to check with their local Pharmacist in regards to the local pharmacy prescription production lead time.
You may order your repeat prescription online here. You will need to come into the surgery to request a prescription online activation form. We will need to see a form of Identification before you are given this form.
If you wish us to post your prescription to you, you must enclose a stamped addressed envelope. You will be asked to see a doctor every 6 or 12 months to ensure that your treatment is still appropriate.
We highly recommend requests to be put on Repeat Dispensing for those patients who have regular repeat medications and they are stable on their medications and have been for some time. We have an excellent Pharmacy Team consisting of a Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician who are available to discuss any queries or concerns you may have and are also available to make ordering your medications easier. They are available to offer support, assistance and guidance so please either email or contact our team via telephone to be able to request a call back from the Pharmacy Team.
To avoid errors, and to ensure patient confidentiality, we are unfortunately unable to accept telephone or email requests for repeat prescriptions.
The Common Ailments Service
The Common Ailments Service is a free NHS service that patients can access for
advice and treatment of 26 conditions. The service involves patient registration, private consultation with the pharmacist and advice on management, treatments or referral if necessary. Download more information here »
